Mahoning County District Board of Health Posts a Lead Safe Housing Registry

 

The Mahoning County District Board of Health is dedicated to eliminating lead poisoning in Mahoning County.  Children under the age of six are most susceptible to lead poisoning and the most common source for lead poisoning in Mahoning County is housing with lead-based paint.  As a result, the Board of Health is posting a lead safe housing registry available on the Board of Health’s website at

 http://www.mahoning-health.org.

 

 

Some other things Mahoning County residents can do to prevent lead poisoning is to:

·        Have your children under the age of six tested for lead.

·        Contact the Mahoning County District Board of Health Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program at 330 270-2855 ext. 136 prior to any renovation activities.
